Title: 2x RTL SDR one antenna
Post by: Charlie86 on August 05, 2018, 03:08:01 pm
Hi,

I want to listen trunked signals (DMR) with two SDR USB keys. Can I use one antenna for both of them?

If yes, what splitter should I buy?

I found this one at home and have no idea from where it is an if it capable of splitting antenna signal to two SDR key?

The device you show in the picture is a TV attenuator. Has one in and and one out with -0.8db and one out with -12.5db (!)
it is using F-connectors and who knows, for what frequency range it will work.

I am using a Mini-Circuits PSC-2-1 for my secondary antenna input on a Kenwood transceiver.
Any splitter will degrade your signals by -3db. Sometimes simply connecting both SDR on one
antenna with an Y-BNC connector will do it without any problems (and loss). Just try it!
