Learning mm-waves
« on: December 19, 2020, 08:35:12 am »
Does anybody know the best way to learn about millimeter wave electronics ? It is a new topic compared with microwaves so I was wondering if there are any resources you have found useful on this field.

alot of money unless you are interested in theory only

the only hobby project I can think of that might be cheap is one of those MMwave car radar chips, and thats only 70GHz.

It depends on what you want to learn, and at what depth.  Ohm's law prevails at all frequencies so the main things are, what components and what structure to use.  Plus, are there techniques at these frequencies that are pertinent due to short wave lengths?

1mm is 300GHz. if you dont mind to become homeless and keep tapping your neighboor's electricity, then carry on...
