Title: Component identification
Post by: kazam on April 21, 2016, 01:06:39 pm
Hi,

I'm looking at a 1GHz receiver and want to know how the RX chain is built up. I come up empty on these two components though! The LNA and the VGA.

Any thoughts?

The second one may be a clone of a Mini-Circuits ERA-3SM.

Thanks,
I think you're right.

The LNA looks like a Mini-Circuits PSA4-5043+

There's something fishy about that LNA... I can't find any LNAs with that case style, what Mini-Circuits call MMM1362, that match.

In my picture it's clearly mounted with gate at top left while all the Mini-Circuit ones have drain there. So it must be another brand.
