I had a look at the service manual posted by geggi.
It seems detailed enough however I can imagine it would be difficult and time consuming to trace to a particular failed component.
With the "number" of radios you have, can you just focus on one which has the least faults, and or the least visible component deterioration ?
At some stage you should consider write- off.
I like restoring old stuff, but selectively by age and of simpler complexity.
I have a new single board Hermes sdr transceiver on order, as it was only $350 I would not consider it worthwhile to try to restore an old Japanese one.
