is there any way to mod this for nvis?,as no room for a low dipole on 80.

there are other antennas which may fit you NVIS needs, going for an antenna which WAS optimized to keep low radiation lobes, and pretending to "un-optimize" it to do NVIS seems just crazy to me; why are you insisting on such antenna ?

place that one horizontal and you'll have NVIS :P

Or are you pretending to put up a "magic" antenna giving you the radiation pattern you want when you want it ?
