How to connect Resonators to VNA
« on: March 05, 2024, 04:10:36 pm »
Find attached the image of a Resonator my colleague would like to measure the S11 parameter off. Now how would i go about attaching this bare copper to the vna. Not very familiar with VNA Measurements.

You need to use a test jig in order to make the measurement.  The type of test jig will depend on the physical size of your resonator and the frequency of resonance under investigation.  The higher the frequency the more critical the construction of the test jig due to stray capacitance and inductance.

If you provide some more info on your resonator (size, frequency) and what type of VNA you plan to use I will provide more details.

Hello, Thanks for the response!
it is 1 cm wide and designed for 100-300 Mhz

we are going to use the siglent sva1032x VNA for the measurement

Hope to hear back
