Hello Paul,
Thank you very much for your reply. I am sure that some of the TR-9000 knobs are virtually identical so should fit.
The shafts on the TR-2300 are all 1/4" diameter.

I have just finished replacing the synthesiser on the '2300 with an old CB one (MC145106) and now have 12.5 KHz spacing and it works great.
I have changed the meter and dial lamps to l.e.d. reducing current drain when on batteries
The CTCSS board is also in now so basically the rig is now up to modern standards.
Been a bit fiddly, but fun to do and IT WORKS!
Just the missing knob that spoils it now.
