Someone trying to hack my EEVblog account
« on: February 09, 2021, 09:26:39 pm »
I had multiple emails from EEVblog today - the first saying someone (not me) had instigated a forgotten password request.
Then there was about 5 or 6 for failed log-in attempts.

Slightly worrying - presumably someone wants an established account to perhaps do some scamming on for sale or for some other nefarious reason.

Has anyone else had their account attacked?

It could be they had the username wrong. There are a lot of j** members.

Thanks. Hopefully you're right, I'm perhaps a little paranoid/cautious. I upgraded my password from the previously rather simple but memorable one just in case.

  • I think I passed the Voight-Kampff test.
