Dave, I bet you get pissed off with people asking for blogs on really simple stuff?

Perhaps a blog about using Google would be a good idea. ::)

Here's an answer I like to use.  It may get the point across.

Does anyone know how to google for specific things that include punctuation?

eg a google for   "!!!"   (with or without quotes) returns nothing, even when 3 exclamation marks will be in many thousands of pages.

if i want to google on "what is resistor", i can simply type "resistor?". one typo error character still get me there, i think google has been put some intelligence to predict what we are thinking. but when i'm browsing eevblog, i usually forgot to refer to google, instead asking in the forum which later i found out how stupid i am.

I like that one, I have that set on my Opera Notes and Firefox clippings so I don't have to bother typing the whole thing out. a lmgtfu Firefox extension would rule lol.

I love it.  I think I'll use it when my first method doesn't work :)

An lxquick search for !!! gives the following single and solitary answer: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/!!!

Whilst I do use google frequently, I only use it via scroogle which scrapes off all the bits I'm not interested in and shields my identity from Google. lxquick does the same but uses a different engine, thus the one useful hit on "!!!".
