BFC aka.... the "Big Freaking Cap".   offten a solution to a bad design.  Right????

I can just see you saying "Oh, the circuit doesn't work - just put in a bloody huge cap!  Doh!  What were they thinking?!?!??!"

That's just an example of one short cut to a problem....I'm sure you know/seen many more shorts cuts using different bodge jobs - and not just green wires.  Good ones, clever, or doggy.  Using parts not as intended. 

Could be the start of a "engineering shortcuts" videos.  When to use them, when not too, and past experiences.  Would love to hear some electrical "duct-tape" stories!
