[solved] EEVBlog forum Thumbs Up emoticon bug?

Admin roles:  the two of us exchanging messages, and a 3rd admin just in case, if something goes terrible wrong.

SMF 2.0.17 works like a champ on a humble RPi@700MHz/256MB RAM, and from an SD card!

It looks like the last + character from the thumb up's emoticon : - + is showing correct when editing, but mangled after posting, so in the end there is no visible thumbs up emoticon published.

Found it.  That post has had an iframe mention that deletes each and any + character after hitting Post.

Try editing the post again?  Also try editing a few things in case it's lazy and doesn't update on small changes or something.

Yes, the   disappears after hitting the 'Post' button, so it won't be any   to be seen in a quoting.  I already tried editing that row like 30 times, trying to remove the exclamation mark, to put the emoticon on the next line, and so on.

Seeing that the + has also disappeared from the quote above makes me think that whatever way you produce that + does not use standard ASCII. What happens if you use the  twice and then delete the : and - from the second one, does the remaining + shows up in your post?
