fluorescent displays - new life

Hi Dave, love the forum and your youtube videos.  I wondered if you had ever tried to breath new life into tired old and faded flourecent displays and whether it is even possible.  Old equipment suffers from these fading especially the displays which feature clocks on constant display in eighties hifi equipment.  Wondered if it was worth doing a blog and playing around with different supply power to the sections of a tired display and seeing if they can be reborn.  Kind Regards,  Andy
