Forum Inline-Image Fix Suggestion
« on: June 02, 2013, 06:47:25 pm »
This is just a summary of a suggested fix to stop inline images and attached images from not resizing correctly in the page.

Steps.

a). In the Admin area, if the "max_image_width" and "max_image_height" is set to 0,  then it would need setting to something like 768, for both values.

b). Then in the file https://www.eevblog.com/forum/Themes/default/scripts/theme.js    ~line 34, comment-out the line..

Code: [Select]
this.style.width = this.style.height = this.style.width == 'auto' ? null : 'auto';

and add..
Code: [Select]
reqWin( this.src, 1024, 768, false);

so basically it will now look like...

Code: [Select]
// this.style.width = this.style.height = this.style.width == 'auto' ? null : 'auto';
reqWin( this.src, 1024, 768, false);

Ideally you'll be testing this on a staging server with an duplicate of the forum software and upload 2 large images;  one attached and one inline.

So the first step is for an Admin?? to verify that "max_image_width" and "max_image_height" is indeed set to 0

Obviously if this still doesn't make sense or you need more clarification then just PM me.
