OP amps basics

I'd like a blog on op-amp basics. A good basic topic, with lots of applications.

I'd rather see a blog on the more advanced uses, opamp basics are well documented in books etc but they have so many uses it would be good to see the more exotic uses.

ESPECIALLY, single supply shift from dual supply.
or for example, removing an opamp and replacing it with raw class type amp.
Limiters that can operate on opamps.

I will revisit here and add ideas.

The free 1200 page book from Analog Devices "Basic Linear Design" by Frank Zumbahlen is almost an essential download for anyone wanting to learn or use opamps.

This suggestion came from Chris on one of the Amp Hour podcasts. A great book. Chris said you could buy the dead tree version pretty cheaply as well.
