Title: *HELP* YH-853D Reworking Station 3 in 1 Power Failure, and Soldering Iron Prob
Post by: robthegeek on May 28, 2013, 02:02:15 pm
Hello there,

I have a cheapy China made YH-853D Reworking Station 3 in 1. The hot air gun works perfect. Still gives an, supposedly, accurate temp on the display.

However, the DC power on it went out one day. Now when that is on it just beeps for over current. The soldering iron still gets hot but no temp control. The display shows a temp but it is just on full blast at the lowest setting 200.

The insides look very basic. Transformer, power distribution and then the controller for the display.

This guy does a basic review and cracks the case.

Any help on the subject would be appreciated. I'm not an engineer just a hobbyist but learning.

Thanks
