After scanning is stopped/completed, it is possible to issue a scpi fetch? to retrieve all stored data over serial/rs232. Because observations are stored in memory - the same data will be returned each time fetch? gets called.

The same fetch? command can also be issued when the instrument is running to retrieve historic observations  - after which it will pause until the card inputs are sampled again - and those values will be outputted as a new row over the serial line. This behavior will then continue uninterrupted according to the sample interval - outputting a new row each time the inputs are read.

What I would like to do, is to reset the fetch cursor to the beginning again, so that all historic is returned - but without having to stop the instrument. That way I can connect once a day and pull all stored data up to that point in time.

Does anyone know if this is possible and how?
