I hate to be another "which multimeter should I buy" but I have been searching around the forums for two days now with no conclusive answer. (and yes I used the search facility)
I even tried looking at the multimeter spreadsheet but ended up being more undecided on what I want.

For the past few years I have been using cheep a $10-$20 meter https://abra-electronics.com/test-equipment-tools/test-instruments/multimeters-abra-low-cost/903-150-low-cost-35-digit-multimeter-903-150.html
It has done it's job introducing me into electronics but I would like to get something that is more reliable, more accurate and much more safe.
I am looking to purchase an an expensive multimeter anywhere between the range of $100-$800.

I have been eyeing the 121GW multimeter for a couple of days now but with how much info is on this forum, all of it's flaws are out in the open and I'm second guessing myself.

I know Flukes are a safe bet but I would like to know if anyone has suggestions or if I should just go for the 121GW.

Thanks in advance,
vaser888

Hi,

my choice would be a Fluke 87 V (almost indestructible, safe, lifelong guarantee)
or if it needs to be a benchtop what about a Keysight 34461A (Precise, lots of functions, programmable, ...)

you have two choices then
either gossen metrrahit energy or prime with Bluetooth connection
but energy one is better despite the 60k counts vs 300k
