Thanks tautech! But I did not see this information on the european website.

This information is inside upgrade package. There inside update package is pdf how to install update and there read also this information.

Note carefully this special update process. It is not usual one step process. This update need two steps. First intermediate transitory update and after then new FW  as described,
If practice and theory is not equal it tells that used application of theory is wrong or the theory itself is wrong.

Old thread but..   Just had this Happen to my SDM3055..

Sent this to info@siglent.com.   Better contact?  obviously I can call Monday..

A week or so ago my SMD3055 crashed while in chart mode and I didn’t think anything of it because I was done using it at the time.. I turned it off and that was that..  When I turned it on today, it doesn’t start up.  It just stays on the boot screen… then after quite a while goes black, but the screen backlight is on.  I’ve read that this is an issue with older firmware and requires it be repair.  Hope that isn’t the case because of course I need it to work now!!  Because I can’t boot it I don’t know what firmware is on it..  But I know I have updated it since purchase at some point.

Purchased June 27/2016.

Of course this happens on a Friday!!
