Hi all,
I have a Fluke 289 multimeter. I found it can not boot successfully today. When I install the battery case, the indicator under power key will flash some times, after about tens of seconds, the screen will display: "CAUTION, Critical FLASH memory error. Return meter to Fluke Service Center."
It looks like the firmware is lost.
Has anyone met the same issue? or do you have any idea about this issue?

Sorry, haven't seen this issue.
I own one myself and at work, we have alot of 287 + 289's, but none have ever show this error.

The Fluke 289 does have a limited lifetime warranty. So, Fluke may repair it free of charge.

They will !! I did the mistake a few years ago to attempt a repair on a 289, thinking there was no applicable warranty (I bought it on eBay, and it was at least 5-6 years old, had no invoice,...), but after some mails and a phone call, that appeared to have been a huge mistake...
Fluke stands to their products, and the 289, definitely for this type of issues, has a lifetime warranty.

Thank you all.
According to your recommendation, I sent the meter to the local Fluke service center. After 1 week later, I received the meter that has been repaired and calibrated. The repaire is free. :-DMM
