What Is the Classification of Semiconductor Memory?
« on: December 29, 2018, 06:09:27 am »
Recently, I am studying the semiconductor memory, and I think it’s interesting and difficult, too.
In fact, I just know little about it, but I have to learn it because of my work.
Every weekend, I go to an institution to learn semiconductor memory. Besides, I also learn it in the Internet. I found that there are many excellent passages about semiconductor memory in the Internet and they help me a lot. Here, I want to share an article to you and it ‘s named The Working Principle and Classification of Semiconductor Memory (http://www.apogeeweb.net/article/157.html). This article talks something about semiconductor memory, such as the definition, the working principles, the classification and so on.
However, I am still confused by the classification of the semiconductor memory. So here, do you have any good websites or passages about the classification of the semiconductor memory? If you have, could you please share them to me? Thanks a lot.

It has a completely different focus than what you are after, but search for a PDF called "What Every Programmer Should Know About Memory".

It is quite comprehensive overview (100+ pages) of memory technologies used in a modern PC, and how this can influence software design practices.

Very interesting stuff if you want to understand a bit more about how the magic actually works.

However, definitely it is not an overview of things like SLC or MLC Flash or EEPROMs or phase change memory and so on.

Gaze not into the abyss, lest you become recognized as an abyss domain expert, and they expect you keep gazing into the damn thing.
