Tektronix Scope CRT Markings?
« on: May 26, 2020, 11:56:20 am »
Take a look at the CRT of the Tektronix 5110 in the photo.  What are the two small triangles in the bottom left for?  I've never seen those on any other CRT.  Perhaps they are used in conjunction with the old Polaroid scope cameras so there will be no ambiguity as to the x- and y- directions in your photo?

I had never noticed such marks before, but I agree that they are probably to unambiguously mark the lower left-hand corner in a Polaroid photo of the scope trace.
