Rigol DS2202 possible bug.
« on: June 15, 2013, 04:00:21 pm »
I have a DS2202 with the original firmware 00.00.1.   I was trying to set the 2 GSa/s sample speed
and the 14 Mpts buffer depth.   If I set sweep speed to 500uS I can get it on chan 2 but not chan 1.
This is, of course, with only one channel enabled at a time.   I turn on chan 1 (only) and it says
1 GSa/s and 7 Mpts.   If I change it to chan 2 (only) it says 2 GSa/s and 14 Mpts.    Am I doing
something wrong?   Why don't both channels operate in the same manner?

If I enable both channels I get 1 GSa/s and 7 Mpts as expected.

Thanks,
Pete.

Hello,

I think this is no error. I think your triggersource is ch2.
If ch1 is the only chanal you have to set the triggersource to ch1. Then you will have what you want.

Best Regards

And mostly undocumented ones at that.  :-DD

At least is did not do what is so common and blow up. I saw one comment on an exploding Chinese chair that asked if there is anything Chinese made that does not blow up at some point or the other.
