Title: Adding GPIB to Datron 1071
Post by: gilbenl on October 18, 2015, 08:38:35 pm
Over the coming months, I'll finally be getting to building the GPIB controlled rack I've been planning (my 82357B is finding its way stateside from China, presumably by some guy in a canoe at this rate). I would like to include my Datron 1071 in the rack, however, it presently lacks the GPIB board. I've got an extra Datron GPIB board from a 1062 that I'm thinking could be used.

My 1071 is missing M18 EEPROM, but the FW is available on KOBB. I'm assuming I'll need to flash M3 on the 1062 GPIB board with the 1071 FW, but don't know whether it'll be plug and play or more involved beyond that-eg.: M18 has a hand in the mix. Anyone know?
