Adding option 488 to a Fluke/Gigatronics 6060B
(1/1)
ZGoode:
I recently acquired a Fluke 6060B that unfortunately did not have option 488 installed, so I decided to go about replicating a replacement board for that. I got lucky since the GPIB chip it relies on is a UPD7210, of which I have a few NAT7210's on hand (a drop in replacement). This board design should be also compatible with the 6060A, 6061A/B, and possibly a few other models.
I have not tested this yet, as I just finished the eCAD design and have just sent it to JLCPCB. I will post an update when the board is received and tested.
A weird quirk I saw in the various manual revisions I found is that sometimes it lists a 273 instead of a 373. Although I am assuming that is a typo and they meant 373 since the 273 is only mentioned once in one revision.
Edit: removed error files, refer to my more recent reply for up to date gerbers and schematics.
ZGoode:
I found one minor mistake with how the DIP switch was connected, I have updated it.
coromonadalix:
better remove the "bad" files, go in the attachements and uncheck them ...
ZGoode:
I received the board the other day from JLCPCB and after assembling tested it. I was able to get the instrument to reply with its ID of 6060B, so I can confirm that this board does work!
I do need to make a revision to the board since it is a little too short to interface with the back panel and connect the pins, but otherwise it works electrically
