Adding PRO option to Fluke OneTouch Series II
« on: May 29, 2020, 06:46:32 pm »
Hi!
I got snagged on another eBay deal. I got a fluke OneTouch Series II for about $45. I use it to find and ping other devices on the network and for that it works a treat. The bad part was that I got screwed because the seller claimed it had the PRO option but it didn't. I recieved $10 compensation. I am wondering if there is something I can do in order to add this option because the hardware is capable of all the features, it is just softblocked off. It says I can try this feature 13 more times to evaluate it etc.. for anything pro. Is there a firmware I can flash to fix this?

(PS. I don't see this as being immoral because neither Fluke or NetAlly, the new company that owns this range would support this meter anymore and I couldn't do this without buying a whole new meter which is such a waste of a fluke.)

Best,
Marton

I'm pretty sure the Fluke OneTouch Series II will only do 10/100 networking, I think you'd need the OneTouch AT series to get support for 1Gb.

Sorry!
That's not what I meant. I know it won't do GE networking but there are other pro features that I would love to use such as 'key device ping' or 'web control', which I am able to do but only 15 times before it locks me out of that feature. Do you have any tips on how to remove that limitation?
Thank you!
Marton
