Hi mrf245,

I don’t think ADVANTEST have service manuals for their network analyzers, they call them maintenance manuals with have no schematics or technical descriptions only calibration and maybe an error code listing to tell you which module/PCB to replace!  :--

I have fixed some of their network analyzers so give us some more details of the fault I may be able to help.

I will update the topic.
I received such a network analyzer and planned to use it instead of my R3754A.
I don't have much experience with such devices, but it seems to me that the 3753 does not work properly.
I had to repair the display and replace the capacitors (almost all 33uF25V degraded), but this did not change the operation of the analyzer.

I turned on the analyzer, connected it with wires:
Output 2 and input R
Output 2 and input A

I see on the screen from time to time flashing the inscription "Rch Overload"

I figured out that the problem is with the transmitter.
You can notice spikes on the waveform, which is why I see the overload message.

If I do not set the full range (5Hz-500MHz), but with 1MHz, then the problem goes away.

The problem does not appear in the low frequency range of 5 Hz - 999.999 kHz

I found out that this is a problem of switching from 999.9999KHz to 1MHz

I don't have any ideas yet.
Does anyone have such a device?
