Hi.
I'm looking for an inexpensive case for a Rigol DS1052E. I only paid $125 for the scope so I don't really fancy paying $60 for the Rigol B1 bag.
Are there any reasonably priced alternatives? There seem to be cheap cases for the OWON scopes but none specify a size so I'm not sure if they'll fit the Rigol (width 303mm, height 154mm, depth 133mm).
I'm happy to order direct from China, never had any issues before and I'm not in a huge rush so I can wait for delivery.

A colleague of mine found an inexpensive camcorder case with dimensions that fix his oscilloscope pretty well. I have started looking for a similar case for my DS1054Z, but have not come across a good fit yet.
I am still looking for for a case, but it has not been a high priority just yet.
Good luck with your search.

That's a good option.
I found this on Amazon which looks pretty similar to the Rigol B1 bag.

Fits great.

I prefer the camera bag. Has a hand strap and also a shoulder strap, which the bicycle bags don't.
Anyhow, I already bought something :D

I agree. However, I think the cycling bag is still a good suggestion. Thanks, Wilfred! :-+
As for the cam bag, thanks a lot for posting the pic, dorkshoei. I was wondering about the internals, and Amazon showed only the outside. Looks quite nice. Definitely an affordable solution, and a good fit. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. :-+ :-+

You don't want to reveal?
I already did. See post with Amazon link and subsequent post with picture of case and scope inside.
Not all bicycle bags lack a hand strap and/or shoulder strap. Mine has a shoulder strap which is not fitted. The hand strap is on the end. Which is fine for cycling, not so great for putting a scope onto the shelf/bench.
I understand, I was commenting on the particular one you posted a pic of; specifically the hand strap on the end rather than the top.

It includes some velcro dividers (for cameras/lenses). I threw them away. Also the stated dimensions on the Amazon site are the internal dimensions in case this helps anyone. Catalog for their products can be found here: http://www.vidprousa.com/catalog.pdf (http://www.vidprousa.com/catalog.pdf) This bag (STU-30) is on page 11.
The only thing I don't like is that the end pockets are too small for any of the Rigol accessories to fit into. I wish they went all the way down to the bottom of the bag like the front pocket.

In that case, ah... situation, you may have preferred their TL-60 case. The side pockets there look substantially larger. Those are going for 25 bucks (delivered) on eBay. And probably some dealers too... I just did a really quick check.

Believe it or not, I'd seen that before I purchased. I preferred the buckle setup for securing the front. Anyhow, I think we've adequately covered all options at this point :)

Naaah. We hash everything to death here, then kick it a few more times, just for good measure. ;D
