Title: Agilent 1670G Logic Analyzer 64K standard acquisition memory to 2M hack
Post by: TK on December 07, 2017, 12:49:32 am
I found out how to enable option 002 (2M acquisition memory per channel) on standard 64K Agilent 1670G.  There are 2 extra SMD resistors on the logic PCB (bottom) of the 64K model and if you remove them, you can upgrade to option 002 (2M).  I attached some images (out of focus... sorry).

I'm very interested in an upgrade like this. I recently acquired a cherry 1670G with the Oscilloscope option, but I could really use larger acquisition memory.

Do you mean to say that removing those capacitors enables existing memory, or do I also need to install memory expansion hardware? If the latter, can you tell me anything about what kind of hardware I need to add? So far I haven't seen any offers to sell the options separately.

Thanks!

They are not capacitors, they are resistors.  And yes, just removing them will enable the 2M option.
