| Agilent 34401A 6.5 Digit MM Problem |
| (1/1) |
| blue2thabone:
Hello everyone, I'm new to the group, so first post. I bought a really nice Agilent 34401A on ebay, and i have a little issue i need help with. The meter works great, other than the decimal digits blink really fast. more like jitters. And when you power it up, it displays a quick message "addr 22" or something like that. can anyone help with suggestions? Thank you kindly |
| Shonky:
Addr 22 is just the programmed HP-IB (GPIB) address. Totally normal. |
| coromonadalix:
yes it shows it gpib address please read the user manual(s) who can be found on the web you'll learn about a few functions and or settings |
| AVGresponding:
There are a lot of features and settings to learn about on these, and to get the most out of it, you really need that GPIB to connect it to a PC. The flickering digits are due to the high update rate it'll be set on. You can lower it in the menu system, which you can access on the front panel by pressing "shift" then the left arrow, and use the arrow keys to navigate around. |

Look for the manual on the Keysight web site. There is also quick start guide. The navigation in the menu is little bit non-intuitive. It took me a while till I get familiar with it. |
