Title: Agilent DSO-X 2014A noise
Post by: iAleks on April 25, 2016, 06:55:56 pm
Hello everyone.
Apologies for the Google translation.
There is a problem with AGILENT dso-x 2014A when the backlight is turned on, the oscilloscope is very noisy something like SHSHSHSHSHSHS. it's crazy.
Here video listening to headphones:
https://youtu.be/VkEOQRTtZn8

And noise on +23V (0.1Volt/Div, 10usec/div):
https://youtu.be/VGi4a_MpxGM
The sound comes from the inductor L3200 or L3201 when touch a finger to capacitor between inductors, or the right contact inductor L3200 or left contact L3201 sound disappears.
I changed the two resistor 11R to 33R, and put the capacity 0,01u between 5 pin and near ground point, and noise gone. I did the right thing?
Has anyone encountered this?

Seems like the same issue was discussed here couple months ago:

Apply the fix, that is now all is well and... silence... beautiful.
