Title: Agilent DSO-X 2024A Softkey problem
Post by: g0hjq on October 28, 2017, 06:05:48 pm
Has anyone on here had any problems with the soft keys underneath the screen on an Agilent DSO-X 2000 series oscilloscope?

The main oscilloscope and all the main buttons and dials appear to work fine, but for some reason, the soft-keys don't appear to do anything, which makes it very difficult to use.

Rebooting makes no difference. Normally I would try a factory reset, but ... guess what ... you need to press a soft-key to activate it.

I bought the scope for about 18 months ago from Aspen Electronics. I think they are an official UK distributor, so it's probably still under warranty, but I want to check I'm not doing something silly before returning it.

Looking at the service manual, it says that the official policy is not to repair models of 200MHz and below. If they replace it, how easy is it to transfer all the software options to the new scope?

Thanks.
Gary.

If Keysight replaces the instrument, they will program the same serial number and activate all the options before shipping it to the customer
