Agilent DSO1022A XY mode bug
« on: October 14, 2013, 10:21:02 pm »
Well, this bug might be well-known, but i did not find it anywhere. I found this scope at school. The XY mode contains a bug, (or is it a weird design choice??) The lissajous figure gets deformated. There is no notice in the user manual.

The scope has firmware 011.04.00.04.02
Is it fixed in later firmware? http://www.home.agilent.com/agilent/software.jspx?ckey=1697212&lc=eng&cc=CZ&nid=-34250.884295&id=1697212
It is not mentioned in the changelog.

Moreover, according to the user manual, there should be no cursors in XY mode. But they are there. That's strange.

Does this Lissajous figure deformation also appear at Rigol DS1000 series? What do you think about it?
