Title: AGILENT E9300B and E4418B problem.

 Hello all.

 Two problems in one place.

 E9300B sensor with 30dB attenuator. Usually gives readings ten times more than the actual value. But  VERY rarely do I get the correct value. The sensor is disassembled, unfortunately there is nothing obvious. We have no experience with this device and I want to be careful. Perhaps the sensor is not hopeless. So I ask for help.

 And the second problem. The power meter often does not respond to the power button. All tests passed. The keyboard, connector, and ribbon cable are checked. Now we are checking the main board.

 I would be grateful for any help.

 A small update. The problem with the power button has been resolved. One of the divider resistors was defective. Therefore, the logic gate received insufficient voltage. Everything is simple.

 Unfortunately, there is no solution with the sensor. But there is hope. Deformation may result in obtaining correct data. We still hope for community help. Thanks.

Please, describe your experiments and setup in detail. Do you get different readings while measuring the 50MHz calibration?  How do you know what's the actual power? Do you have another power sensor to compare?

 Yes, we have a second power meter and two GHz generators.

 At the moment, 4418 without any problems.

 Most likely, the problem is in the sensor. By deforming the sensors PCB, we get true results. Under the microscope, everything is perfect.

 But until I hear experienced comrades, I don’t want to do anything. The price of the error is very high.

Hi, Could you please show me detail about the way to resolve the power button of E4418B?
I have 2 of these units that need to repair the power button.

 Hello.

 I will not add anything new. The button is serviced by a logic IC. In my case, one of the divider resistors was damaged. This is not the only failure option, obviously.
 You have to check if the resistors are good and the voltage / resistor ratio is correct. The scheme is very simple.
