Title: Agilent MSOX-3054a Upgradeable to 1Ghz?

Is the MSOX-3054A firware/software upgradeable to 1 Ghz or is that only in hardware?

I have the 1 Ghz version, I think the hardware is different  |O

The 500MHz to 1GHz upgrade has to go back to Agilent for a board swap.

The BW upgrades that are only license keys are: (from the 3000X datasheet)

DSOX3BW24 100 MHz to 200 MHz, 4 ch, License only
DSOX3BW52 350 MHz to 500 MHz, 2 ch, License only
DSOX3BW54 350 MHz to 500 MHz, 4 ch, License only

It's a hardware board swap.
