alex.forencich,
Thanks! I owe you one!

Hi,
Did either of you ever get the diagnostics to work? The diagnostics come up, find the card, but when I run say the voltage test, it tries to load a file _fpgaconfig from a directory "host:/SelfDiag/N5306". I put the file at C:/SelfDiag/N5306, but it claims it can't find it. But, with WireShark, I'm not sure if the FTP server is not setup right, or if the "host" part of the directory is a potential problem.
Any advice appreciated!
Best Regards,
Austin

I know nothing about this specific hardware, but in general an FTP server is configured to use something else than c:\ as its root for security reasons (being able to download any file on the system like the password database). So what is /foo/bar via FTP might be something like c:\keysight\ftp\foo\bar on the local computer.

Hi darkroom,
I suggest some "adultery". With a little patience you can acquire Tektronix PCIe Protocol Analysers (TLA7SA00 Series Gen 1,2,3) and the handy Slot Interposers for far less money then Agilent/Keysight Solutions. Application Software is free downloadable. License Keys not needed.

I found the location the FTP server wants for the diagnostic files! So, now it almost runs the diagnostics, it gets past the _fpgaconfig initial issue.
Copy all the files from here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Agilent\SPT\ProtocolAnalyzer\8.2 Release\embedded\Gen2_x8
into:
C:\InetPub\ftproot\SelfDiag\N5306
Still missing one file to run the diags prbs_calblk_ddr_test.exo, which I can't find anywhere...yet.
My analyzer is up and running on a W7 notebook. I got it working with W10...but then it stopped working. I think the best is to setup a W7 VM like Alex suggested and run the analyzer software there.
The script file that runs the diagnostics is in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Agilent\SPT\HardwareDiagnostics\bladefiles and is 5306A.tcl which can likely be modified to get around the above missing file.
