Yes I just tried mine as a result of this thread with a mouse and it no work.

I prefer to use a mouse instead of the touchscreen simply to avoid getting grubby paw prints all over it.

I think the thing about touch is that it's so common on other devices now that you tend to just start using it instinctively, especially on a new unit when you're not familiar with the knob locations and menu structure.
It appears that you can pretty much drive it entirely from the touchscreen but I don't think this is especially useful as knobs are just better for basic functions.

The scope can be driven 100% from the touch screen or 100% from the front panel. At Keysight scopes HQ, we've all found ourselves using a combination of the touch screen and buttons/knobs. To each their own.
