Aim-TTi have released their new SMU4000 series
« on: October 02, 2022, 11:33:58 am »
At a quick glance not too shabby. If you absolutely need four quadrants there isn't much competition in about 3500-4500 € class (without VAT).
I wonder how their Test Bridge SMU software compares to say KickStart?
If you have ever complained about depth of Keithleys this one is different, depth only 295mm.  :-+

Nice to see a sensible power limiting curve rather than the steps the other manufacturers have, but lacking in pulsed modes so the total envelope ends up smaller (their marketing material is a little "light" there).

Does anyone else think that Aim-TTi need to invest in some industrial design talent? This looks like a generic case from Shenzhen with some custom plastic stickers. It looks cheaper than some Chinese brands.

* Note: I own an Aim-TTi PSU that I am quite happy with. It's not pretty either.

At least they follow the same design language throughout their line up. If you want a work bench with similar style as operating theatre TTi is a safe bet.
Now we only need a two quadrant high precision PSU à la R&S NGL200 Series.
