AliExpress IT1008 injection transformer
« on: May 04, 2024, 03:20:27 pm »
I’m going to be doing some analysis on a synchronous buck dc dc power supply and am looking for a signal transformer.

I am aware of the DIY solutions which look amazing but I fear my side project count is already too large, and I am aware of the several commercial options which are pretty pricey.

I came across this:

And for the price I’m tempted to give it a shot. Anyone have any thoughts / experiences?

and you are aware  that many things from Ali could be not as advertized .... sure you have some warranties if the shipping doesn't take too long

Absolutely. I’m just curious if it’s worth the punt to see if it would do the job. Could never arrive or could not work as advertised. I’d definitely measure before using.

Ok. Bit the bullet on side projects and wound a core myself. It’s looking decent. Current measurements say -3db at about 25Hz and pretty flat out to 1MHz rolling off to -2db at about 4MHz. But I’ll wait until I’ve housed it with proper terminations and premature before posting results properly.
