| Alternative to Segger J-Link EDU |

Just for fun, I've decided to get a bit more serious about reverse engineering random products, and I've found a good jtag programmer is necessary. I've no particular MCU families in mind, so a versatile programmer would be paramount. I had my sights set on the Segger J-Link EDU since it seems highly regarded, versatile, and cheap. Sadly it is out of stock the world over, with no end in sight. Any suggestions for an alternative? |

You can convert a cheap ST-Link v2 into a Jlink-EDU https://www.segger.com/products/debug-probes/j-link/models/other-j-links/st-link-on-board/ Tested few times, could flash, then revert, no issues. However didn't work very well in STM32 CubeIDE. |
