I've just joined this forum recently and it has been a big, no, not big, huge help repairing my devices :-))
For my instruments I used a self made Prologix clone, which works fine for most uses, as it is just pain, dumb serial communication...
Some people suggested me to use the F82357 device from Beiming...which I just received this week...and after a few hickups I have
to admit it works so far nicely...despite the sample "ibterm" program, which looses characters constantly (o;
I've been asked by Beiming to supply more programming examples for their Linux customers, as this is the field
I'm using this adapter as well...and probaly many people are doing...
I have already a bunch of GPIB instruments I bought cheap from ebay for my private lab...as it was always the dream to have some cool equipment at home since I was 16 (o;
So this means my programming examples are limited to the devices I have, basically:
HP 6632B
HP 3456A
HP 8904A
Fluke 6060A/AN
LeCroy 9354AL
LeCroy 9414
So therefore I'm looking for sponsors for any sort of GPIB device which might be interesting to have a custom application written for it....might be even a broken device,
For Windows support....I guess there are more applications available...and for OSX? Sad news is, that Agilent stopped the support for newer versions....but I hope to get more insights from Beiming to be able to have a new driver available...
