The high-current shunt (sense) also includes a long copper PCB trace, AN8008 PCB layout is not so great.
Changing the fuse wiring could cause troubles depending on where you land the end.

that should not be an issue if you extend down towards the jacks like i did - that track is thick and exists on both sodes of the fiberglass.

Can anyone recommend a source for good replacement of the banana plugs, the ones in the multimeter are total garbage, as you can see from the above photo.

they may look cheap, but they can handle far more than 10A

what do you have in mind? because the only upgrade would be to drill the case and try to fit these:


i doubt they will fit into the case myself - you dont have much room.

I was thinking machined sockets. The existing spring ones get loose and have problems maintaining good contact with the leads.
