| Aneng AN8203 - Kaput? |
| (1/1) |
| BillyO:
Yesterday I was measuring a 12V supply to see if it was actually 12 V with my AN8203 when the display went blank. Now when I turn it on it first shows all the graphics on teh display, beeps 5 times, then clear the display except for the "AUTO" element and then does nothing further. Changing the batteries was not any help. Anyone else have this experience? Is it landfill? |

It lives! Seeing as how I had come to grips with throwing this out I decided to pull a DJ and "take it apart!" It turned out to be a broken solder joint on the negative batter spring. A little clean-up, a little flux and a dap of solder and it's back to it's barely useful self. Actually it sees more use than some of my other meters specifically because it will fit in my pocket. |
