Title: Anomalies with Siglent SDS2202X-E
Post by: Via3 on March 12, 2019, 10:44:43 pm
I recently purchased an SDS2202X-E oscilloscope.
I check that you have several anomalies, which I will describe.
1- In the CH2 channel with the vertical scale in 500uV, when executing a command that produces a Beep, this Beep produces a register of 5 / Div Pk-Pk.
2. When switching the appliance off with the CH1 menu on, the appliance does not show the menu when the appliance is switched on again.
3- When the calibration function is executed after 30 minutes, the vertical offset position is correct on the two channels, but after turning off the appliance for some time + - 30 minutes when the vertical offset is turned back on, it is completely out of adjustment in CH2 in position 500uV has a deviation of positive 2 Div and CH1 has a deviation of 1.5 Div.

These deviations exceed the given specifications: Offset Accuracy ± (1% * Offset + 1.5% * 8 * div + 500 uV): ≤1 mv / div

Some friend has already encountered these anomalies?

Welcome to the forum.

I haven't checked one I have for similar behavior but I will when I power it for checks before dispatch, however I have sent Siglent a link to your post for the engineers to look at.
I will add, as yet there have been zero firmware releases for this new 2kX-E product range so I would expect this may have already been documented by Siglents worldwide beta testers so to be addressed in forthcoming firmware.

These sorts of issues have previously been addressed for 1kX-E models so my recommendation is to wait for new firmware.

When cold or after 30 mins running ?

Why not install new firmware that fixes stuff and improves functionality ?  :-//

The full list of fixes etc are listed here:

Improvements bring these 2GSa/s DSO's into line with other X-E models.
