Any experience or feedback on Kiprim oscilloscope

I have PC/soundcard spectrum analyzers and they are quite capable but for the same reason USB scopes are not great for troubleshooting PC spectrum analyzers are slow and clumsy for audio troubleshooting. The stand alone Wavetek 7530 in an old Tek 7403 has been the most useful. The other stuff comes out when I need deep analysis and there are really good tools but just not great for troubleshooting.

I have a Siglent 1104 XE but its FFT is pretty clumsy for this stuff as well. And the two cheap scopes I have, have almost useless FFTs if you need real info.

What got me interested was the "screenshot" with what looked like a real, useful FFT with markers etc. It might just be an artists conception however. . .

I design USB PC scopes for the very low end.
Someone mentioned FFT.
I struggled to find a good FFT routine for my pc software.
The ones I was finding were very noisy.
I did eventually find one that worked properly.

My best scope is 20 mega samples which means about 1MHz top end.
Fine for audio work but limiting for anything faster.
I did find it very useful for DCC signalling work.
Sell it for about £30.

It seems improbable to me that Kiprim have developed their own oscilloscope. The specs match almost identically the Owon SDS1102 or Hanmatek DOS1102. If so, it might be ok compared to a Fnirsi, for example, because it will have real time sampling across all the ranges and a bit more sensitivity (5mV/div).

There's a Youtube video where the USB/PC capabilities are investigated and he discovers it's an Owon PDS 6000 series underneath.

Owon haven't sold the PDS series for a time. It looks like Kiprim got a supply of the parts and have put them in their own case.

Looks like a Peaktech 1404.

robert.rozee:
PeakTech also have even lower-end models:

i'd really like to see dave review one of these!

cheers,
