At least they're being honest!
Normally I'd say "any oscilloscope is better than no oscilloscope!", here, but ... 5Mhz is a little bit low.

You've never used my Tektronix 503! :-DD
It's only got something like 450Khz of bandwidth.
REALLY crisp display though, and less than thirty pounds. It's even got some Nuvistors AND four of those transistor things in it....

Agreed! The larger and much more detailed PeakTech 1404 manual is far superior to the Kiprim manual.
I fired up a 26B and set the output at 100,000uv The Kiprim easily handles 120Mhz. It peters out somewhere between 200 and 260Mhz. I really didn't pay much attention to the exact numbers.
This looks like it will make a good sacrificial automotive scope. Much better for it to get run over or dropped than one of the Teks or the Siglent.
Also, it is capable of firmware upgrades via a USB thumb drive. All in all, so far, well worth the price.
It figures that it would drop ten bucks AFTER I bought mine.

If anybody is interested, the price on amazon.com is reduced to 160$:

Mine has started doing this after about 1.5 years of use...
Voltage waveforms like awful, and it looks like some quantisation error or something, there's random steps in the waveform.
