I can hardly hear the beeper (from many years of playing on stage), so I have to keep looking up and over to see DM3058 display. Then my porbe slips and I curse loudly yet again! I've looked into it some. Rigol told me that you should be able increase the beeper volume via code accessible via the USB port. It's not adjustable at instrument's 'skin' level.
This is RIGOL's reply:
Hi William,
Just get an update from my supervisor. We have an undocumented for the beeper sound:
:SYSTem:BEEPer:VOLUme <value> 2<=value<30
You can use our Ultrasigma software to type the command to see if the sound changes a little bit.
Here is the Ultrasigma download link and user guide:

Hi William,
I don't think there is a way to adjust the volume through programming.
Here is the programming manual for DM3058/3058E
https://beyondmeasure.rigoltech.com/acton/attachment/1579/f-003f/0/-/-/-/-/file.pdf (https://beyondmeasure.rigoltech.com/acton/attachment/1579/f-003f/0/-/-/-/-/file.pdf)
I tried to hack that section of code but I ran into a few obstacles attempting to enter. It wasn't like the Online examples.
Anyone been successful doing this or interested in trying?

I have been wondering about this for along time. The beeper loudness in mine is very low, in a quiet lab, and I have average hearing.
I find it hard to believe it was designed this low because you probably could not hear it in a somewhat noisy lab.
Have you looked inside? I'm curious if the cover sticker has been removed form the beeper.
I have searched for answers to this problem, but have found nothing. Does everyone think this is a acceptable? :-//
Let me know what you find out.

FWIW: I tried this undocumented command on my DM3068 and I can't seem to get it to do anything.

I tried it with no results as well.
I just found this info on Rigol's skite:
For instance, try :SYST:BEEP:VOLU 12
You can send these from SCPI Communicator in UltraSigma. Here is the download link for Ultra Sigma. Right click the instrument->select SCPI control panel->then type the above command in it.
Has anyone tried this?
Anyone succeeded yet?
