Title: ARCO SS-32 Precision Standard Capacitors Kit - Value?

I'm curious, what does something like this go for - what would this be worth and if you could complete a set, what would that be worth?

I don't really have a use for all of the values I don't think, just a few - but $990 seems a bit high... but what do I know. Do these hold their values over a long time - what type of caps are used, etc... does anyone here know if these caps degrade, what type of caps are used, and the value of this incomplete kit and if it could be completed what the value of that would be? Also, if anyone is interested - feel free to offer. I'm curious on it, and I probably won't be offering anything on this..

Also, it seems that a full kit of modern high precision capacitors on Amazon go for around $20... so is a kit like this even worth it to use - ie: Are these made of some super long lasting non-degrading capacitor... or are these paper based, or electrolytic, or? Or are these just thin sheets of metal  with the proper size to be exactly what it says based on math and density - ie: they won't ever degrade if properly treated... although if the metal is bare, then it could pit, etc... so it would degrade.... But if they are completely airtight and packed in a neutral atmosphere or in a vacuum then it could be they would last forever.... does anyone know the construction on these?

I'm curious if this kit is worth it - etc.. What are your thoughts?

Nowhere does anyone mention the tolerance of these capacitors.

Yeah, that's always a red-flag...

I found another - which is a complete set for $600... Seems excessive especially as these kits are old - no clue on construction... they could be degraded...
