Tektronix TDS784A Very Low Frequency Acquisitions (<1 Hz)
« on: January 16, 2021, 08:48:41 pm »
Hello, I would like to make real time data acquisitions of low frequency waveforms on my Tek TDS 784A DSO.  For an example, a 0.2 Hz sine wave.  It would be nice to have at least 2 complete waveforms on the screen at a time.  To accomplish this, I set the record length at 500 pts per 10 divisions and time base at 1 second per division (50 pts/sec).  With these settings, the scope updates about every 10 seconds when triggering off of the 0.2 Hz waveform.  I tried triggering off a higher frequency square wave on another channel, but the update time did not change.  I know this is possible with other scopes.  Is the TDS784A capable of real time low frequency waveform display?  Is there a problem with my scope?  Please help!

Thank you,

Tony
