Title: Array DC load battery discharge software?
Post by: nctnico on August 30, 2013, 07:37:41 pm
Does anyone know if there is better software to discharge a battery using an Array DC load? The software from Array is pretty crappy. It doesn't switch off below the minimum voltage!

I've been using the DISCHARGE one, its crappy but it works for data acquisition.  I manually set Vmin via the keyboard.  I've been burn testing and cycling NiMH battery packs for days at the rated max loads of 150W and my 3710a doesn't even get hot, warm at worst.  Good thermal design and component choices for whomever designed it.  The compact case makes it very easy to transport.  I wish I had time to write new software.

Well I can't get it to work. Yet another crappy piece of software written in Delphi...
