Post by: xfd1001 on March 19, 2022, 12:34:02 pm
Hello,

Recently fraubrj / Elektor has released a new version of the AU2013 LCR meter the AU2019.
This time it seems the files are free to download! Files include BOM, gerbers, software and seem to even include the source code this time  :)

Has anyone reviewed or build the new version yet?

Do you have plans to assemble it?

Yes go to the project page https://www.elektormagazine.com/labs/remake-lcr-meter#comments (https://www.elektormagazine.com/labs/remake-lcr-meter#comments)

Schematics, gerber files, BOM, etc.. are available; there's also a kit that is more cost effective to buy as such rather than trying to source yourself all the parts.

If it is assembled by yourself, calibration will be a problem

Calibration is no problem at all.
Download and read the manual to see how it's done.

I find all downloads behind the paywall. Can you show the link to the free downloads?

It's not paywalled, you only have to register and login. Schematics and all is there. The "Updates from the author" section has latest files all in one place. Well, not entirely. Latest firmware is found in comments.

I was tempted to build this for a while, but the parts become too expensive.

I also found it too expensive from the beginning, and too complex too.

Yes it is a 'Kit' Project. For accurate measuring, 1.0V test voltage is required. At lower test volt ranges, PS noise effects the accuracy.
